Virginia Allows Same-Sex Parents Names On Some Birth Certificates

Huge news out of Virginia today. The Virginia Division of Vital Records has agreed to issue a gender-neutral birth certificate to a lesbian couple, showing both women's names on their son's record.

The couple adopted their son in 1999. His birth certificate will now show "Parent 1" and "Parent 2" on the birth certificate. Pretty cool news if you ask me.
