I'm off like a prom dress.

That's right ladies and gentlemen, one year after starting Gay Rights Watch, I've made the decision to hand over the keyboard to a new blogger(s). I have been hired as the Communications Coordinator for Basic Rights Oregon, Oregon's largest statewide GLBT advocacy organization. Therefore to avoid a conflict of interest, I will no longer be a contributing writer to GayRightsWatch.com, as I have been for the past year.

Running this blog has been a very rewarding experience. From covering the struggle across the nation--to closely observing and bringing up-to-the-minute news on Oregon's Legislative Session in 2005... I wouldn't have traded the experience for anything.

I have handed over the reigns to some great bloggers in Oregon, as well as California and North Carolina.

Here's to the future.

Respectfully,
Bryan Harding Boyd

Congrats on the new job! I will miss seeing you around here, though.

Congrats, Bryan.

Hopefully, you'll be blogging as always over at the Basic Rights blog.

And as for the rest of you... Bryan started something good here. Here's to taking his great start and launching it into the stratosphere. So far, the few posts I've seen have rocked. So keep it up!

Thanks you two. I look forward to doing some truly great work for BRO. We've got some amazing things in the pipeline.

As far as those who are taking over for me, one of whom is well known in the Oregon blogosphere (www.privilegejudo.org), I have full confidence that they will keep on rocking and keep this site alive and well.

No doubt I'll still be chatting with you all. I have to say... it's a bit sad to leave this blog and even though I'll be writing on the BRO blog - it just won't be the same.

Thanks again,
Bryan

Well done and best wishes, Bryan!! You'll be missed here, but greatly appreciated in your new roll.
