This made me feel like it's ok to be who I am. I am a lesbian teen in a very rough middle school, and very afraid of what might happen if i come out. The problem with this is it is so irritating to have to be somthing you are not. Only a few of my closest friends know about me and I still have not been able to tell my parents. I am deeply moved by the courage of Anthony and inspired to follow my heart.

This was one of the saddest things I have read in years. The pain, the struggle, the victory in reaching love and being loved, then to have it all ripped away. I feel deeply for his bf who was at the wheel that day. I can only say my heart breaks for everyone who knew him.
